On May 8, a solemn event dedicated to the 74th anniversary of the victory in the Great Patriotic War and the memory of the Republican defenders, who fell in the battles of 2014, took place on the territory of the “Saur-Mogila” memorial complex.

On May 7, the first session of the Youth Parliament was held in the Plenary Hall of the DPR’s People’s Council. The event was attended by the Head of the DPR Denis Pushilin, Chairman of the People’s Council Vladimir Bidyovka, People’s Council’s Deputies Eugene Ilyenko, Kirill Makarov and Roman Udalov, representatives of ministries and departments.

On May 6, a Republican research and practical conference with international participation “A political process in the Donetsk People’s Republic: institutional and value-based dimensions” was held on the basis of the Department of Political Science in the Donetsk National University.

On May 4, a solemn meeting on the occasion of the Media Workers Day was held in the Shakhtar Plaza hotel complex. On May 4, a solemn oath taking by the members of the military and patriotic movement “Young Guard – Young Army” took place in the park of Leninist Komsomol near the memorial site “To your liberators, Donbass!”.

On May 3, in the city of Donetsk, within the framework of the People’s Club discussion platform on the basis of the DPR People’s Council, a meeting was held on the topic “The urgency and problems of legislative regulation of local governing activities in the Donetsk People’s Republic."

On May 2, a requiem meeting was held in Lenin Square in the centre of Republic's capital, dedicated to the fifth anniversary of the tragedy in Odessa. The event was attended by DPR Head Denis Pushilin, Chairman of the DPR People’s Council Vladimir Bidyovka, deputies of the People’s Council, representatives of ministries and departments.

On May 1, the Chairman of the DPR People’s Council, Vladimir Bidyovka, and deputies of the People’s Council took part in a demonstration and a rally that took place in Donetsk. Ceremonial events were dedicated to the Spring and Labour Day.

On April 30, a Republican festival of KVN teams “Spring Maximum” for working youth took place in Donetsk. The event was attended by the Chairman of the DPR’s People’s Council Vladimir Bidyovka, People’s Council’s deputies and the President of the Federation of Trade Unions Maxim Parshin.
