The Chairman of the DPR People's Council, the Permanent Representative of the DPR at the talks of the Contact Group in Minsk, Denis Pushilin, expressed doubts that the civil armed conflict in the Donbass will be resolved before the end of this year, provided that the position of the Ukrainian leadership remains unchanged.

On March 10, a concert dedicated to International Women’s Day and supported by the Russian centre was held in the concert hall of the Centre of Slavic Culture in Donetsk. The event was attended by the Chairman of the DPR People’s Council, the Permanent Plenipotentiary Representative of the DPR in the Contact group’s negotiations in Minsk Denis Pushilin.

If Mr. Volker is really set on a peaceful resolution of the conflict, we would like him to concentrate his attention on his mentees in Ukraine, on systematic violations by Kiev on the obligations assumed in the framework of the Minsk agreements. This would bring a much greater result.

The Chairman of the DPR People's Council, the Permanent Representative of the DPR to the talks of the Contact Group in Minsk, Denis Pushilin, spoke about the results of the discussion in Minsk on the problem of restoring Vodafone's connection on the air of the Panorama programme on the Union TV channel.

In the context of the Contact Group’s work, the Donetsk People's Republic supported a decision to introduce a comprehensive, sustainable and indefinite cease-fire regime starting from March 5, 2018.

On March 1, the Council of the Federation of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation held an enlarged meeting of the Committee for Public Support of the residents of south-eastern Ukraine. The event focused on the discussion of the situation in Donbass, work of the Ministry of Emergency Situation of Russia to provide humanitarian assistance to residents of the People's Republics, 

The people are source of authority in the Donetsk People's Republic and free elections are the highest expression of it. These principles are enshrined in the DPR Constitution, and therefore should and will be implemented in the upcoming elections this year.

The latest legislative initiatives of the Ukrainian political elite aimed at trying to justify their criminal decisions against the Donbass do not relieve Ukraine of the implementation of the Set of Measures to Implement the Minsk Agreements, supported by UN Security Council Resolution No. 2202 of February 17, 2015.

On February 28, in Minsk, a regular meeting of the Contact Group on the peaceful settlement of the conflict in the Donbass was held. The agenda included issues of compliance with the ceasefire, the implementation of the agreement on the disengagement of forces and facilities, the preparation of the process of exchanging prisoners, as well as the discussion of political and economic issues.

On February 24, the DRP Badminton Cup took place in the Donetsk sports club SportMAX. The Chairman of the DPR People’s Council Denis Pushilin participated in the competition.
