Parliamentarians participate in Immortal Regiment action (in pictures)
On May 9, a public action “Immortal Regiment” took place in the Donetsk People’s Republic. The Head of Donetsk People’s Republic, Denis Pushilin, the Chairman of the People’s Council, Vladimir Bidyovka, and deputies of the People’s Council took part in the march in the capital of the Republic. Processions also took place in the cities of the Republic. They were attended by deputies of the People’s Council.
In a comment to the press service of the People’s Council, deputy Vasily Pertsev conveyed gratitude to veterans of the Great Patriotic War.
“Thank you very much, dear veterans. You made a great history and fought for peace so that others could live. You were the shields that guarded the Homeland. Everything in this world is indebted to you. We will never forget your feat and heroism. I bow to you and wish a long life!” the parliamentarian said.
Deputy Klaudia Kulbatskaya took part in the march of the “Immortal Regiment” in the town of Dokuchayevsk.
“In the fight against fascism there should be no condescension and concessions. I am grateful to our grandfathers for the fact that we were able to live under the peaceful skies in a beautiful country, and we are obliged to defeat fascism again,” the parliamentarian informed.
Deputy Alexander Bondarenko noted that Victory Day is a symbol of national unity and valour.
“This is a day of national pride, a day of grief and eternal memory. On this holiday, we especially acutely feel what it means to be faithful to the Motherland, how important and necessary it is to defend its interests. We must be worthy of the feat of our fathers, grandfathers and great-grandfathers! Thanks to them, many generations have been able to live a peaceful life.
Victory Day will always be a symbol of unity and the triumph of military and labour prowess. Happy holiday!” the parliamentarian emphasized.
In turn, MP Kirill Makarov spoke about the importance of the implementation of the Immortal Regiment action.
“Victory Day is a special holiday, because we all live today thanks to the feat of Soviet soldiers, thanks to the strength and resilience they showed. The international action “Immortal Regiment” is intended to perpetuate the memory of the heroes who at the cost of their lives paved the way to the Great Victory, about those who fought for their Motherland! To remember them is our direct responsibility!” the deputy noted.
Deputy Miroslav Rudenko took part in the celebrations dedicated to the 74th anniversary of the Great Victory in the town of Debaltsevo.
In turn, Tatiana Zhuravlyova marched in the Immortal Regiment’s procession in the town of Snezhnoye.
Deputy Maxim Korolyuk attended the solemn event in the urban-type village of Troitsko-Khartsizsk, timed to Victory Day.
At the end of the march in the city of Donetsk, the participants of the Immortal Regiment took part in a solemn meeting at the monument “To your liberators, Donbass!”.
