“Donetsk Republic” faction holds organizational meeting

On January 24, a regular meeting of the “Donetsk Republic” faction took place, where the main directions of the deputies’ work were announced.

The Chairman of the DPR’s People’s Council Vladimir Bidyovka outlined the directions of the Agreement on cooperation between the State Council of the Republic of Crimea and the People’s Council of Donetsk.

ʺThe implementation of the signed agreement is under the personal control of the Head of the DPR Denis Pushilin and Head of the Republic of Crimea Sergei Aksyonov. Our task is to implement the agreement not just on paper, but in practice. We have to implement it through activities that contribute to the development of the designated vectors of joint interaction. The main emphasis will certainly be placed on inter-parliamentary cooperation.

The event is very important and the further signing of agreements with other regions of the Russian Federation directly depends on our actions. We have been given a chance to take the first step towards integration, and I ask you to address this with the utmost degree of responsibility,ʺ the Speaker of the Parliament said.

The Chairman of the “Donetsk Republic” faction Valery Skorokhodov underlined the importance of cooperation with public organizations.

ʺThe public movement “Donetsk Republic” was established for people to understand that it is here where they can obtain necessary assistance and protection. I strongly recommend taking part in events organized by the “Donetsk Republic” public movement and assist in the implementation of projects and actions.

We have to show maximum participation provide comprehensive support and assistance at the receptions of citizens. People want to live, develop and feel that the state cares about them,ʺ the deputy said.

The Deputy Chairman of the People’s Council Olga Makeyeva urged the faction members to elaborate proposals on the realization of social programmes aimed at providing assistance to people with reduced capabilities.

ʺThe public movement “Donetsk Republic” implemented a lot of topical and significant projects during the last year. We have to pay special attention to one of them this year. We are talking about the “Republic for All” project, which is aimed at providing comfortable living conditions for people with disabilities.

Currently, we need to elaborate supplements to this project jointly with the “Donetsk Repbulic” public movement,ʺ the Vice-Speaker noted.
