We are doing everything necessary to ensure that ceasefire is implemented – Denis Pushilin (video)
The Donetsk People’s Republic is ready for a full ceasefire from midnight on April 1, an agreement on which was reached by the Contact group’s members in Minsk on March 29. This was announced today to journalists by the head of the DPR delegation to the peace talks, the Chairman of the People’s Council Denis Pushilin.
“We, for our part, are ready and are doing everything necessary to ensure that the ceasefire is implemented. That it is extended for as long as possible. But much depends on Ukraine. Petro Poroshenko gave the appropriate order, which will be realized for a certain period,” he said.
According to the Speaker of the DPR Parliament, it was possible to reach a long-term ceasefire only if the forces and facilities of the parties were withdrawn from the demarcation line in the Donbass.
