Ukraine is making every effort to get out of the Minsk process – Denis Pushilin

The DPR People’s Council Chairman, permanent plenipotentiary representative of the DPR in the Contact group at the negotiations in Minsk Denis Pushilin participated in the programme “Informally” on the TV channel “Oplot TV.”

During the programme Denis Pushilin noted the results that have been achieved since the signing of the Minsk agreements.

“Speaking about the talks in Minsk, I do not lose optimism, despite the severity of our situation. We remember the difficulties that last aggravation brought us, when once again Kiev unleashed hostilities and immediately went to Europe and the UN Security Council to complain about a mythical Russian aggression, again trying to demonize its image. Their provocation would succeed, if we went on the offensive. This clearly would let Kiev’s hands loose and made it possible to get out of the “Minsk”. Ukraine will not give up attempts to get out of the Minsk process in any way, it is unacceptable for them in any form. However, it does not spare any of its people nor businesses located in the conflict zone, does not pay attention to the risk of environmental or man-made disaster.

The Minsk process not only constrains Ukraine, but also allows us to make our political base, including more loudly declare ourselves in the world community, to strengthen our position in international organizations and draw the attention of the new US administration. I think that President Donald Trump will express a desire to get insight into our conflict with Ukraine on his own,” Denis Pushilin said.
