The proposal of the ex-deputy of the Verkhovna Rada, Irina Farion, to prohibit the Russian-speaking Ukrainians from working and receiving education in Ukraine is contrary to the Constitution. DPR People’s Council Chairman Vladimir Bidyovka stated this in an interview with RIA Novosti.

On April 7, in the centre of the capital, a solemn rally was held in the square near the Government House, timed to coincide with the celebration of the fifth anniversary of the Donetsk People's Republic]s proclamation. The event was attended by DPR Head Denis Pushilin, People’s Council Chairman Vladimir Bidyovka, People’s Council deputies, activists of public movements and organizations, as well as more than 10,000 residents of the Republic.

On April 3, a regular working meeting within the framework of the “Republic’s Reliance” initiative of the “Donetsk Republic” public movement was held in Donetsk. The deputies of the DPR’s People’s Council took part in the event.

On April 3, in the assembly hall of the law faculty of the Donetsk National University, on the initiative of the Constitutional Legislation and State Building Committee, an International Round Table was held on the topic “Conceptual issues of state building formation and development in the Donetsk People’s Republic”, dedicated to the 5th anniversary of proclamation of the DPR.

Ukraine and Russia will have no fraternal and even friendly relations starting from April 1, 2019. This all happened due to the fault of the current Ukrainian power, which fulfils American political interests, and which was foreseeable.

DPR People’s Council deputy, Chairperson of the Budget, Finance and Economic Policy Committee Marina Zheinova commented on certain provisions of the DPR Law “On the Tax System”, which regulate the procedure for forming gross expenditures on purchased imported agricultural goods.

On March 29, the Deputy of the DPR’s People’s Council Claudia Kulbatskaya took part in a programme called “Power’s Task” on a radio “Comet”. The deputy described the legislative activity of the Committee on Social and Housing Policy during the radio’s broadcast.

The shelling of the DPR’s territories by the AFU intensified on the eve of the presidential elections. This was stated by the Chairman of the DPR’s People’s Council Vladimir Bidyovka in an interview to “Russia Newspaper”.

The adoption of the draft law on the state language will become another step in the policy of radical nationalism, which is pursued by the Kiev authorities.

On March 27, at the Donetsk State Academic Music and Drama Theatre named after M. M. Brovun, a solemn meeting timed to the World Theatre Day was held.
