Today, during the plenary meeting of the People’s Council, deputies supported the amendments to Article 10 of the DPR Constitution, according to which the Russian language is recognized as the only state language in our state. Besides, according to the provisions of the DPR Law “On Education,” training and education activities are carried out in the state language. With the adoption of today's amendments, this would be the Russian language.

On March 5, the Donetsk Republican Academic Young Spectators' Theatre of the city of Makeyevka hosted a solemn event dedicated to the celebration of International Women's Day, which was attended by the DPR People’s Council Chairman, Vladimir Bidyovka, People’s Council deputies, the head of the Makeyevka City Administration, Sergey Goloshchapov, and representatives of republican organizations and departments.

On March 3, a working meeting of the Chairman of the DPR’s People’s Council Vladimir Bidyovka with a delegation from the Republic of South Ossetia took place in the Republic’s capital. The delegation of the Republic of South Ossetia was headed by the Chairman of the Committee of Veterans and Disabled People of South Ossetia, Chairman of the Public Chamber of South Ossetia Madina Pliyeva.

On March 3, the V.V. Kuybyshev Palace of Culture hosted a solemn event dedicated to International Women's Day, which was attended by the DPR People’s Council Chairman, Vladimir Bidyovka, as well as representatives of ministries and departments.

On February 21, a solemn rally dedicated to Defender of the Fatherland Day took place in the capital of the Republic. The event was attended by the Chairman of the DPR’s People’s Council Vladimir Bidyovka and deputies, Head of the Donetsk’s Voroshilovsky District Administration Vladislav Latyntsev, Hero of the DPR Akhra Avidzba, veterans and residents of the Republic.

On February 19, a rally called “Donbass called us for heroic deeds” and dedicated to the fifth anniversary of the city’s liberation from the Ukrainian armed forces took place in Debaltsevo. The event was attended by the Head of the DPR Denis Pushilin, Chairman of the DPR’s People’s Council Vladimir Bidyovka, deputies, representatives of ministries and departments of the DPR, guests from the Lugansk People’s Republic and inhabitants of the city.

False information on the convening of an extraordinary plenary meeting of the DPR’s People’s Council is being disseminated on the Internet. As a confirmation of the information, Internet resources use a false ‘order’ of the Chairman of the DPR’s People’s Council on convening the extraordinary plenary meeting, where an issue of reducing the funding of Republican coal enterprises by 30% will be considered.

On February 15, in Donetsk, the Lenin Komsomol Park of Culture and Leisure hosted a rally dedicated to the 31st anniversary of the withdrawal of Soviet troops from the Democratic Republic of Afghanistan.

On February 13, DPR People’s Council Chairman Vladimir Bidyovka, together with members of the Presidium of the Youth Parliament, paid a working visit to the state general educational institution Makeyevka Special Boarding School No. 36. The meeting was also attended by the head of the Makeyevka town, Sergey Goloshchapov.
