Kiev's provocation in the region of the Kerch Strait and the intention to impose martial law is an attempt of the President of Ukraine Pyotr Poroshenko to retain power by cancelling the upcoming elections in March 2019, deputy of the DPR People’s Council Valery Skorokhodov said.

The martial law in Ukraine will negatively affect, first and foremost, ordinary Ukrainians, however the residents of the DPR may encounter some problems. The DPR People’s Council deputy Alexander Kurenkov shared his opinion with the Donetsk News Agency.

The Donetsk People’s Republic advocates its independence in accordance with international law, deputy of the DPR People’s Council Vladislav Berdichevsky said in an interview with the Federal News Agency.

On November 20, in Donetsk, the inauguration Denis Pushilin, who was chosen on the basis of the results of the popular vote on November 11, was inaugurated as the Head of the Donetsk People's Republic. The solemn ceremony was held at the Donetsk State Academic Theatre of Opera and Ballet named after A. B. Solovyanenko, the official website of the DPR Head, Denis Pushilin, reports.

The DPR People’s Council deputies Yaroslav Lisobey, Vladimir Medvedev, Maxim Parshin and Elena Shishkina shared their work plans in the DPR People’s Council of the II Convocation with the Donetsk News Agency.
